When I came out as bi to my parents, it was February of 2023 and I was 12. I had spent a lot of time coming up with a letter which I wrote down but then read out loud to them in my living room one Saturday morning. They said it was weird because I was never attracted to girls when I was younger and they thought it was something I would grow out of but they still hugged me and said they love me. The next year I mentioned coming out to one of my friends and my mom was like “Oh you’re still bi?” and I was like yeah… but anyway since then they have been super supportive and were very happy for me and my ex-gf when we were together.
