Story #1278

When I came out to my mother and sister they didn’t take it too well. My mother cried for days but eventually accepted that daily life was still normal, and I didn’t change the way I acted. My father, whom I have a bad relationship with, was surprisingly the most accepting of them all; I dare say he was even happy for me, even though he admitted that he didn’t understand what “made me this way”. I’m lucky enough that I’m in therapy for other reasons, so my therapist at the time helped me with it. I’m an 18-year-old gay guy; this was 1.5 years ago.
