When I came out, it was yesterday and I came out to a close friend. She wound up telling me that she had also liked girls. Since then we’ve been really supportive of each other and neither of us thought of the other any differently. I am still scared to tell my parents though because they are highly religious and have already expressed their feeling to me about the LGBTQ+ community. (16/Bisexual/Lesbian?)

When I came out, I came out on my 15th birthday on 12/25/16 to several of my cousins and my one sister. I ended up learning one was lesbian and another was bisexual. They were all very supportive, but I’m not going to tell my parents or classmates yet. I came out as lesbian and aromantic, but honestly I am still lost and confused in the asexuality spectrum.

When I came out to my friends, they were all so supportive of it. I’ve been dating this girl for 5 months now and they found out now. However, I’ve only ever felt this about this particular girl so I’m not sure how to label myself. I decided to tell my mom today that I liked this girl and it was the worst thing I could have done. She was so against it and very close minded. I’m hoping she comes to her senses and realizes that I am very happy. I promised my girlfriend that I wouldn’t let this come in between us. When I came out I told my closest friends I have a girlfriend. My family still doesn’t know and I’m too afraid to tell them because I’m still not 100% sure my orientation. I can’t imagine being sexually involved with most females, or males. I have had sex with a couple guys and I didn’t get that “woo” factor. I have had sex with my girlfriend and I love giving to her. But again I can’t imagine sexual encounters with women either. (F/20/Confused)
