When I came out, my dad was drunk, trying to talk about what being gay is. In the process of me arguing him down I asked him, “So what do you think I am?” He said not gay. Then I replied, “Well, I’m not straight! And I can’t change that, just like how I can’t change the color of my skin.” (M/17/Pansexual)
Story #1235
When I came out as pansexual to my mom, I was fifteen at the time. I knew she suspected I wasn’t straight, because she would always ask me throughout my childhood. She doesn’t quite get pansexuality, but she ended up being really accepting and supportive regardless.
Story #1215
When I came out in the middle of the hallway in eighth grade, my bestie (who just so happened to be my crush) came out as demisexual. We’ve formed a great bond and have been dating ever since. (F/16/Pansexual)
