When I came out it was to my best friend who is bi. I told her I thought I was bi too, and she has helped me accept myself and she’s who I come to about all my girl crushes. I’m thinking of coming out to my other friends soon and eventually my parents but it may take a while to get there. (F/15/Bisexual)

When I came out it was to my sister, and I didn’t plan it at all. She just mentioned to me that she was bi, so I told her I was lesbian. I’m glad to say that she was very accepting. I’ve told two close friends since then, and they’ve been accepting as well. When I came out I was 12 and it was just to my friends as Ace (no longer identify with this) and then changed it about 6 months later. Now I’m either Bi or Queer. Labels are hard to find. My friends completely accepted me (mostly because the majority of my group of friends are queer one way or another) and I am so grateful for my experience. When I came out as bi to my mum she seemed super supportive at the start until she realised what I was telling her, then she ignored me and I ruined the remainder of our relationship from it, but 1 year before that, when I told my aunt, she was amazing but wanted me never to tell my grandma so I keep a good relationship with her and can stay part of the family.
