When I came out as bisexual to my friends, it was when one of them decided we should do “Am I gay?” tests online together and decide which ones worked and which ones didn’t. I got bi every time, but they just thought I was changing my responses to mess with them. I thought they realised I was actually bi, but after a while, someone turned to me, and said, “Wait, are you actually bi?” “Yes,” I replied.

When I came out to my best friend as bisexual, he was super supportive. I didn’t even know I liked boys until he came along and he doesn’t know. I’m going to tell him how I feel in a week; if not, there’s no other option but to move on.
Story #1587
When I came out to my closest friend, he told all my friends. I didn’t know until I had a surprise “coming out” party hosted by my roommate. I didn’t know that was a thing. (M/24/Bisexual)

When I came out to my “straight” best friend, it was after we watched Love, Simon. I finally had the courage to tell him I’m bisexual but before I could talk, he came out to me as bisexual first. We both had a crush on each other thinking the other was straight. Happily dating! (M/Bisexual)
Story #1582
When I came out on Easter, I used Peeps. I said, “Peep, guess what? I’m bi.” Everyone but my dad has taken it very well.
Story #1580
When I came out, I wasn’t even planning on doing it for at least 2 more years, since I’ve known I since I was 10 (and I was 12 when I came out to my mom) but I was afraid no one would take me seriously. I was sitting with my mom, and she said that she was going to help out at our city’s pride parade, which I didn’t think was too big of a deal since she’s very liberal. That’s when she told me that she was bi, and I just started crying. She looked concerned, and I could barely get out the words “me too” before we both started hugging and crying for what seemed like hours. We saw the movie Love, Simon the other day, and she told me how lucky I am to be growing up at a time when there are people like me in major movies.
Story #1575
When I came out I just got back from seeing Love, Simon. I was really empowered and told my dad in the car that I liked boys and girls. He said it wasn’t the best timing but he accepted me. My close friends already know. (F/14/Bisexual)
Story #1572
When I came out to my best friend it was on a Twitter DM. I had jokingly made a comment about how I would never have a boyfriend, and she responded by asking me if it was my way of telling her I was into girls. I couldn’t lie to her. Unfortunately she went on to tell me it was ok “as long as I didn’t like everybody.” (I’m bi.) I told her that and she told me it was ok, she didn’t think I was “greedy” or anything. And I think she is ok with it; we haven’t really talked about it again.
Story #1570
When I came out, I was at lunch just talking about how I low-key stalk people on the internet. She asked me if any of these people were girls and I said no. That’s when I told her I was bi. My whole world got brighter (literally the room lit up) and she was so accepting and loving. I still haven’t told my parents though. (M/13/Bi)

When I came out I posted a coming out song in a group chat at 3am. The next morning my friends were just like whatever, we don’t care. (F/15/Bi)
