Story #1669

When I came out, it was to my three friends, one straight, one bi, and one pan and gender fluid. They are super supportive of me being bi and I plan on telling my family before the end of 2018! (F/11/Bi)

Story #1667

When I came out, my parents were really, really surprised. My mom implied she thought it was a phase, and later my dad referred to as the time that I said I “thought” I might be bi. This surprised me a little because my parents are very progressive. After a little while, though, they seem to have become more comfortable with it and don’t treat me any differently. Since then, I have come out to a number of friends, all of whom have been incredibly kind and supportive, and for that, I am so, so thankful.

Story #1666

When I came out, it was a year ago and I was cutting class with my friend. We were sitting on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere. Naturally the conversation got deep and he told me his darkest secret, so I told him I was bi. That year he inspired me to come out to all my friends and everyone’s been supportive. I still haven’t told my parents.

Story #1664

When I came out around two years ago, I told five people. One of them told the person I liked, my twin, and my bully. Cutting her out of my life was the best decision I’ve ever made. Still haven’t come out to the rest of my family. (F/15/Bi)

Story #1661

When I came out I was leaving acting practice. My best friend and I were talking about boys, and she asked me if I was gay. I told her no, but I said I wasn’t straight either. I told her I was bisexual, and now we are closer then ever. (M/12/Bisexual)

Story #1660

When I came out on September 22, I drove over to my best friend’s house because I’d been thinking about everything for a while now. She then asked me why I asked to come over and I said, “Oh. Did you know you have a BBF? A bi best friend.” She looked a little taken aback but then she just asked me questions about everything, which was fine considering we tell each other everything and I know how she feels. I then came out to my sister and my friend, who’s also bi, so now I don’t have to pretend anymore! (F/16/Bi)

Story #1659

When I came out I never denied that I wasn’t straight. I first came out to myself obviously, but I was confused about what I was. Didn’t
know if I was bi or bi-curious, or even pansexual. I really dived deep into the pool of sexuality when I was around 11/12. Came out to one person that year and stayed in the closet for 4 more years. I’m 16 and just came out to my family last month. (F/16/Bi)

Story #1656

When I came out in February, I wasn’t sure how my friend that I haven’t see for a long time would react. I told him that I wanted to share and he was fine that I could tell him. I told him that I was bi and he was really happy that I came out and supported me. I thanked him for his support and he told me that he was proud that I had the courage to come out. (M/18/Bi)

Story #1655

When I came out, I was 11 and came out to my three best friends. I was moving from my home and on the last day of school I wrote my friend a note saying I was bi and I was too scared to tell my other friends, so she told them. I still haven’t come out to my family.

Story #1650

When I came out I was terrified. I came out as bi to three of my best friends about a month and a half ago. I told them I had to tell them something but didn’t know how or if I should. I let them play the guessing game for like ten minutes. One of my friends asked if it had to do with girls and another friend asked a question at the same time so I panicked and pretended not to hear the first friend. Once I got the courage to do it I told them one by one in a whisper so no one would overhear us. (F/13/Bi)
