When I (a lesbian) came out to a girl I was just starting to become friends with, I casually mentioned not being straight and she had the best “no reaction because it’s obviously okay” reaction I could’ve dreamed of. We’re getting to know each other better and I feel blessed that someone knows so early into our friendship and genuinely wants to become friends, isn’t afraid that I will have a crush on her, etc. It makes me believe in “it gets better.”
