When I came out for the first time to one of my best friends one year ago, I opened my mouth and started stuttering and then brought up someone gay at our school. So she said, “If you’re going to tell me that you’re a lesbian or something that doesn’t change anything.” I was really relieved and I told her I had a crush on a girl but wasn’t sure about my sexuality. (Incidentally, the girl I had/have a crush on is her, and she now knows and is ok with it.) She said it was okay and she didn’t find anything wrong with it.
