When I came out to my friends (lesbian, bi, and straight) and brother, they were really supportive and took it well. I told my mom in person and she has a great misunderstanding of what being gay is. She told me to “fix it” and that she’ll pray for me but she said she wasn’t mad or anything. We still talk like normal but we never discuss what happened at all. When I came out to everyone else, I happened to be a senior speaker in our high school and I basically came out in front of the school. They have been very supportive. (M/18/Gay)
